What is a refurbished phone?
A factory refurbished phone has been professionally cleaned, completed a rigorous 90-point testing process and has been carefully graded according to our strict grading criteria. Any components which have been identified as in need of replacement, will be replaced with original or OEM parts.
What is the difference between a used, second-hand and refurbished phone?
A used or second-hand phone is usually sold as-seen and has not been professionally cleaned, repaired or had key components renewed. A refurbished phone has been fully tested and will have key components replaced before being sold. “Grade A (Pristine)” Refurbished phones are normally indistinguishable at first glance from brand new phones, but are up to 40% cheaper.
Do you have a returns policy?
Yes! We offer free returns for 30 days after purchase. This means that if you change your mind, you may return the phone to us (in the same condition as you received it), for a full refund. We’ll even provide a pre-paid return label.
Do you offer a warranty or guarantee?
Yes! All of our refurbished iPhones come with a 12 month warranty. Mac2New will repair or replace the phone if a manufacturing defect occurs during this period. Accidental damage, water damage and battery replacements are excluded, but we do offer a repairs service should this be necessary.
Do you offer battery replacements?
Yes! We can replace most iPhone batteries with original OEM replacements. We can also fit high-capacity replacement batteries in some models, which hold more power than the original batteries and last longer. Please see our Repairs page for more information and to book a repair by post.
Do refurbished phones come with a good battery?
We guarantee all of our refurbished phones will have a battery in good condition (following Apple guidelines – at least 80% capacity or better – or we will replace it). Batteries are consumable items and your iPhone will alert your when it’s time to “Service” or “Replace” the battery. You can find this information in Settings -> Battery -> Battery Health.
